Yes again daft O Clock and I can't sleep... Anyway my body is doing strange things since my operation... My skin on my face is having bad days of dry skin and I am flaking away even when I use moisturizer. Still getting sharp stabbing pains in my Ken butt.... A d inside my tummy also my stoma give me the gentle reminder by a stabbing pain. But the one that drive me mad is....... I still get the urge to go to the loo for a number two πŸ’©πŸ’© even though it's impossible for me to have one the traditional way by sitting down on the thrown 🚽! I'm told it's the same for people who have  lost limbs they still feel like they are still there on their body!! Before my diagnosis I purchased 3 tickets to go see Fleetwood Mac live at Wembley in June well I had UPS deliver the tickets to my door for me my daughter Kelly and Son Alex to go and see them Whoo! Rock gods or whatπŸ€˜πŸ€™πŸŽΈπŸŽΆπŸŽ΅.... Being off work has taken its affect on my body. My back is stiff at the base of my spine and i...
Well fingers crossed I should be getting signed fit 4 work tomorrow. Following on from my visit to the Stoma Nurse I have a a follow up appointment to see my surgeon in June! Well it went pear shape... Doctor was ill? Seeing him Wednesday now (will he get a fit for work before he returns} πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Been having some funny going on with my body I seam to go okay with my pooπŸ’© for a day or two then I get the runs for a few hours the following day! πŸƒ‍♂️πŸ’© Stoma Nurse says it's my body adjusting to the operation! The down side of the runs it makes me feel so drained of energy! People have said eat bananas 🍌🍌help or jelly babiesπŸ€” but that will then load my temple of a body {not} with sugar... Humm not good for my diabetes....
Well the last few days or more I've felt better so much so I've picked up my camera again... My camera club have been great with encouragement well wishes and I even managed a photo shoot a Biddulph old hall it was nice see in club members I've been the club this evening and again it's nice to be with friends. It boost your healing and well being. Today I also saw one of my old fire mates Andy and I chatted away like two old men... Me with my Stoma him with is broken foot. It was great seeing him 😏πŸ’ͺ Each day I try and push myself in the distance I'm walking building my strength up.. Ready for when the doctors sign me fit to work... {I truly can't wait to return to work}. I see the doctor this Monday 😊
So I went to the hospital this afternoon to see the stoma team and as I was called in the nurse says you don't mind if a trainee nurse stays. Of course not was my reply! Going back a few hours I had the runs and had emptied my bag 3 or 4 times but by 1.30pm it was all quiet on the western front {My be my body was planning a surprise attack on the nurses as I would be changing my bag 4 life and the 10 mins it takes to change it anything could happen including a fart!}. Thank the lord my body was good for a change!! πŸ‘ I told the Stoma Nurse that I get bleeding around the base of the stoma especially when I'm cleaning it, she looked closely at it {finger crossed I don't fire my poo out or gas her with my mustard gas}! Once again I was a good boy😳 She saw the issue my stoma was not flush with my belly {not that I have a flat belly}. And the stoma was not healing very well because it was crystalising and if they knocked while cleaning they will bleed... The cure is either a...

Finally I have been discharged by the district nurse for my Ken butt. It still not right to sit on it for any length of time but it definitely is getting better.... In my self I'm feeling better e en though it's difficult to bend down to tie my shoes due to the tenderness around my stoma and from the bowel operation... For the first time this week I felt good enough to take my camera out for a 2 mile walk around a park near to me and snapped some photos of the wild life... Then yesterday even I met up with my camera club we had a shoot at Biddulph Old Hall. Wow what a beautiful place busting with history... It gave me a big boost seeing my friends from the club. I was armed with my camera and my stoma bag just in case I had an accident {bag leakage}. It caused me no issues!! Just one or twice it did a ripping fart. But gladly only Chris got ho hear it πŸ’¨πŸ˜œπŸ˜πŸ’¨ Sorry Chris! Anyway it's 03:30 and I have again got wind...and a belly ready to bust! I have no clue to w...
Well it's daft O-Clock in the morning and I've been awake for a couple of hours with a big belly that's about to pop! I'm full of wind {Some say I'm always full of wind} but this I'd killing me so much painπŸ˜’πŸ˜³πŸ’¨I feel a good fart and it will be gone... But I have a Ken butt so no gas will ever pass my Cheeks again.... My colostomy bag is working so I know I don't have a blockage and also I know wind is ripping into my bag 4 life.... Maybe a good burp would help me... But I can't burp the odd little one but that not eased my pain.... It's now 03.20 and I have just been and changed my bag 4 life {I need a name for it so leave your messages of names if you like}? And as I'm writing my blog my stoma has just ripped a few good windy farts and hell that feels better!! My belly is gurgling away still....? Well Wednesday 1st May was results day.... I had an appointment with Dorothy she is one of my cancer teams. I met Caz at the hospital as she was...
I'll tell you the truth I had over the past few months more internal examination than I can remember.... And for sure the medical people are dealing with probing the rear door as you may say daily.. But as a man at first its quite a embarrassing moment... Small talk is not really a good help...... Anyway because I have been see by Nurses, Doctors, Registrars & Surgeons that now there is no embarrassments they all say my surgery has mended well... But let me tell you the day a District Nures came to remove my stitches from my new rear was a moment of pure pain followed by thank the lord they are out...The nurse arrived in the morning and read my notes then I closed the curtains and dropped my jogging pants etc she got in a position so she could cut away the stitches, the first couple were okay and relatively pain-free.. Then she said you need to lie down on a bed because the other are buried deep and the skin has grown over then... So in the bedroom we went that better she said ...
